ROCKET ENGINEERING

Rocket Engineering

From design and manufacturing to testing and flight validation.

DESIGN · BUILD · TEST · FLIGHT

Put ideas to the test
Towards real flight

Rocket engineering is one of PSI's core areas of practice. We connect design, manufacturing, testing and flight, documenting the process through our work and field records.

Workbench assembly, ground preparation and flight validation are connected stages of this work. Each deserves a record and offers lessons for the next attempt.

Our process

This outlines our practical process. Individual project records describe their progress and results.

01

Design

Set goals, develop the approach and identify what needs testing.

02

Build

Turn designs into structures and assemblies, documenting the build.

03

Test

Record test observations and results to guide revisions.

04

Flight validation

Test the work in real conditions and assess it through flight records.

Confirmed milestone

First successful night launch

PSI completed its first successful night launch on 21 January 2025.

Vehicle details, process records and publishable data will be added as documentation is organized.
